The home of Sri Lanka's music rights
The Association of Creators and Publishers of Sri Lanka is a non-profit collective management organisation for the performing rights of composers, lyricists and music publishers.
Who we are
ACPOSL licenses the public performance and communication of musical works, collects royalties from music users, and distributes those royalties to rights holders in a fair, transparent and accountable way.
We operate within the framework of the Intellectual Property Act No. 36 of 2003 of Sri Lanka, and administer rights on behalf of our members and represented rights holders through membership, administration and reciprocal representation agreements.
Our vision
To establish ACPOSL as a trusted, transparent and internationally respected collective management organisation that safeguards the rights of creators and publishers, ensures fair and sustainable pay for the use of musical works, and fosters a thriving music ecosystem in Sri Lanka.
We envision a future where every composer, lyricist, songwriter and music publisher is recognised, protected and fairly rewarded for their work, and where Sri Lankan music can flourish both at home and worldwide.
Our mission
- Ensure fair royalty income for creators and publishers
- Provide efficient and transparent licensing services
- Strengthen copyright awareness and compliance
- Work toward CISAC membership and global reciprocity
- Align Sri Lanka's music rights system with international standards
Board and leadership
ACPOSL is governed by a Board of Directors made up of experienced music professionals, publishers and industry leaders, supported by a growing operational team.
