ACPOSL Granted CMO License and Announces Official Name Update

ACPOSL is pleased to announce that at its Annual General Meeting held on 10 October, 2024, members unanimously resolved to adopt Association of Creators and Publishers of Sri Lanka (ACPOSL) as the organization’s official name, replacing Authors, Composers & Publishers Organisation of Sri Lanka, while retaining the abbreviated name ACPOSL.

Following consultations with the National Intellectual Property Office (NIPO), ACPOSL has been licensed as a Collective Management Organization (CMO), marking an important milestone and strengthening the organization’s legal foundation.

Building on this progress, ACPOSL will participate as a stakeholder in the upcoming Intellectual Property Workshop organized in collaboration with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and NIPO, in connection with International Intellectual Property Day.
