International Intellectual Property Day 2025 – ACPOSL

To mark International Intellectual Property Day 2025, themed “IP and Music: Feel the Beat of IP,” an Intellectual Property Advisory Conference was held on 28–29 April 2025 at the Galle Face Hotel, Colombo and the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute.

Organized by WIPO, CISAC, IPRS, NIPO, and ACPOSL, the program addressed music-related IP law, global trends, copyright, and the impact of Artificial Intelligence.

An action plan was developed for ACPOSL’s participation in the IPRS Mentorship Program toward CISAC membership, under the supervision of WIPO and CISAC, supporting improved royalty collection for live and digital music use and progress toward instruments such as the WIPO Copyright Treaty (WCT).
