ACPOSL Progress Toward CISAC Membership

Continuing from the International Intellectual Property Day 2025 conference, the second day of the two-day event in Colombo was reserved for the ACPOSL Board of Directors, following a first day that was opened to a limited ACPOSL membership.

During these sessions with WIPO, CISAC, IPRS, and NIPO, the international organizations presented a roadmap toward full CISAC membership, recommending participation in a mentorship program with IPRS as the initial step.

A time-bound action plan and implementation guidelines were provided.

Accordingly, the ACPOSL Board, working in four teams, prepared key governing, membership, licensing, royalty distribution, and fee-related documents, fully aligned with international collective management standards and the guidelines of WIPO, CISAC, and IPRS.

With these documents finalized, the ACPOSL Board rejoined the international organizations for an online review meeting on 02 July, where ACPOSL’s progress and compliance with international standards were commended.

We are pleased to confirm that ACPOSL has been updated in line with these criteria, ensuring that all future benefits directly accrue to its members.
