ACPOSL at Global Music Copyright Workshop in Seoul

ACPOSL Board Member Amith Liyanage and NIPO officials represented Sri Lanka at a four-day WIPO workshop in Seoul, South Korea.

Organized by World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST), and Korea Copyright Commission (KCC), the program focused on:

• Copyright Law: Strengthening protections for music creators.
• Emerging AI: Navigating the impact of Artificial Intelligence on music.
• Global Reach: Managing IP rights and royalties in the digital era.
• CMO Management: Improving collective rights management for artists.

This international collaboration strengthens ACPOSL’s commitment to securing the rights and livelihoods of Sri Lankan musicians on the global stage.
